So, basically, way way back in... September? October? Sometime like that, Badou coerced me to app Zoolander with her. And basically, since she kept saying that it was a natural progression of Badou and Haine... we did.

And then we watched the movie together as Badou and Haine, complete with movie commentary.

So right, what I was saying: Miwa Shirow is lazy. The chapter releases feature nothing but black and white and blank panels. LUCKILY, this is actually remedied in the volume releases. PANELS ARE FILLED IN WITH IMAGES. THERE ARE TONES. NAOTO DOES NOT LOOK LIKE HAINE!

So posting are some of the more obvious changes in volume 2 (Bullets and Carnage). Not all the changes were placed in (such as addition of backgrounds, some Noki and Loki stuff and one or two panels involving Giovanni and Fraulein/Freuling), because I got lazy scanning a ton of pages.

First up! The chapters now have a name. According to the table of contents:

Near the end of chapter 17 page 14, you get creepy Freuling. Also you see the train tracks and stuff filled out.
Haine's face on the right is added on, and Naoto clashes with one of the twins bottom left.
SHIROW ONLY PENCILED IN the left page completely. It is finally finished.
Complete redraw of chapter 20 end, when Naoto laments on who to cut. Compared to this, much different, yes??

I honestly cannot recall if these were scanned before or not or if they are wandering about in the realms of the internet. It's not included in the volume 1 zip, SO here it is!!

ALSO, taking a look at the Bullets and Carnage volume I have... Shirow actually TONES the stuff. Like, he/she was really lazy with the magazine chapters and left them all white. THERE IS SHADING AND ACTUAL BACKGROUNDS in the tankoubon. Also there are chapter-heading spreads. I might scan some more when I can, Badou dear.

So… it’s actually been a really long while since I talked a bit about Haine and his whole deal about his fear and aversion to women, what happened in the past to affect it, and the different ways he does deal with women if he has to. WARNING: this is going to contain a lot of spoiler images, so don’t yell at me otherwise.

As Badou said: “I heard that he had a real painful experience in the past. He just can’t get along with any women other than that girl Nill in the Church.” Pretty much sums it up how Haine is so antagonistic and avoidant of women. If he HAS to, he will interact with them. Only, in his own terms and his own ways. I’m pretty confident that it really all ties back to Lilly in the end, but seriously. Badtouch doctor did not help things AT ALL.

So guys here's the deal. Some mysterious benefactor has gone off and hired certain peoples to bust into the store and steal the supply of beer/booze from it!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it is:
1) Become part of the crew and assist with the stealing. Whether you were 'in it all along' or spontaneously join in, is up to you.

2) All you cops and superhero types, you might wanna move that mojo along and bust the thieves and fill up that jail cell, and keep the booze from the grubby hands of minors.

3) Everyone else come join in the hysterics... be it as witnesses, or assisting one way or another.

LETS PLAY A MASSIVE game of cops and robbers, guys!
